Less than 100 years ago you would have had to travel by boat. It could take you months to get there. When you docked you might not have still had a position. If you didnt where did you go? What did you do?
Luckily things have really changed. Today you can jump on an airplane, land, get off the plane, find an internet facility in the airport, look up ESLjobfair.com, find ESL jobs, call them and set up some appointments, grab a taxi and have an interview all in the same day. Amazing times these are! Now that isnt exactly the way I would recommend you go looking for an ESL job overseas. But it really is possible in some countries to do just that. And get the job in the same day! But if you really dont want to live on the far edge, here is what you can do. Check out ESLjobfair.com.
Kids? Tanagers? Adults? Then look for jobs targeting that age group or level of English ability. In a city? Country? Small village with no running water and electricity? Remember costs will be different as well as pay for all of the above different choices. Now narrow down your search to a few jobs and simply send them your resume. If they are interested they will get back to you. You can apply on line right through this website.
